Chris Smith Racing take a first place finish in class at the SCCA Charge of the Headlight Brigade 13Hr endurance race at VIR. With a field that had a large Mazda showing and was made up with nearly 50% MX-5's we managed to have quickest one. The CSR MX-5 driven by C. Putman, C. Espenlaub, and J. Jordan uses an electrical system developed and tuned completely by Electron Speed. It uses MoTeC control and data systems: PDM, SDL3 and M400.
At this years Petit Le Mans we also supported Braille Battery's Oreca FLM09 all the way to the finish in the 14th annual Petit Le mans. This was a tough battle that required a couple of new noses. In the ALMS LMPC Championship the team landed just shy of the top three for their first championship effort. This years development should provide great improvements for next years LMPC effort.
Performance Tech finishes 2nd in the final rounds at Road Atlanta in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites series. Electron Speed was there providing data support and supporting our harnesses.
We support a lot of production based sports cars, however we love supporting prototypes also. The main team we fill that desire with is Performance Tech you can find routine updates of their progress on their facebook page. They race two different chassis's of Prototypes, Elan DP02's(IMSA lites) and an ORECA FLM09(ALMS LMPC.) They use Electron Speed wiring everywhere they can, and we also do trackside support for Performance Tech at all ALMS events.
RSR motorsports takes first and second place at the B+ Heroes Foundation 200 at NJMP's Thunderbolt Raceway. Their improved electrical system reliability this year contributes to them currenty sitting third in the team points. To create the system we programmed a Motec Power Distribution Module and tuned the Bosch engine control unit.
Through the work of the #81 Bimmerworld 328I and the #18 and #19 Mazda MX-5's of Freedom Autosport Electron Speed filled the ST podium at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
