Used in almost every major racing series on the planet, Motec products provide advanced system control and data analysis through a powerful and intuitive user interface.  They have recently been working to integrate their technology into even more cost effective systems, making Motec affordable to more teams and racers than ever before.  We made the choice to become a distributor in 2006 and have been working closely with Motec ever since.

Dashes

When people think race car dash, Motec is what comes to mind.  Introduced in 2000, the ADL is the ubiquitous race car display and data acquisition system.  The current CDL3, SDL3, and ADL3 retain the rugged housing and excellent display layout of their ancestors, while the technology inside has been updated with new capabilities and features.  Motec dashes are now found on everything from cars to motorcycles and from boats to jet skis.  We have even seen a few on an offshore oil rig!

Engine Control Units

When people think high end ECU, Motec is what comes to mind. (See the trend here?)  Whether you need an ECU for your car, a waterproof ECU for your boat, or a plug and play solution, Motec offers it all.  The current M400, M600, and M800 provide unparalleled flexibility with advanced engine control.  Alongside this, Motec is developing its new M1 series ECUs that build on the success of the previous units.  Support for direct injection has been introduced along with completely new (and extremely awesome) tuning software.

Power Distribution Modules

PDMs are a revolution in race car electronics.  They completely eliminate the need for relays and fuses while providing previously unseen levels of power control and diagnostic ability.  For instance, we have diagnosed failing fuel pumps long before the fuel pressure showed a single blip.  And unlike traditional breakers (or worse, fuses), if overcurrent is detected the PDM can automatically retry the circuit.  Even more amazing, especially in the case of fuel pumps, is that in an overcurrent situation the PDM can autonomously switch to a reserve fuel system with no driver input and no loss of fuel pressure!  A PDM can mean the difference between mid race failure and a strong finish!
